Version 2.5
All new

- iOS 17: Emerald can automatically log your expenses whenever you tap to pay (requires setup, see shelftwo.com/emerald)
- “Import transaction” shortcut for logging expenses. Tip: Add to automation in Shortcuts app
- Set once & forget: Found a funny merchant, like “Venue DZ MX”? Set its category to “Coffee” and let Emerald repeat that for new entries from that merchant (Emerald creates import rules you can edit and remove)
- You asked, it’s here: Log expenses from anywhere in the app with new “+” button on the bottom of the screen. Don’t like it? Go to Settings > Appearance to hide it
Quality of life
······•······

- Entry details screen shows “Added using import” for imported entries
- Category names are no longer lowercased (sorry about that)
- iOS 17: Small-size widgets allow tapping “+” to log expenses AND tapping the widget itself to open Emerald
- When setting a category, scrolling up expands the sheet so you see more categories
- Updated animations when viewing or adding entries
- Smarter import: Supporting more amount and date formatting
